This compressor is awesome, from it's meticulous build to it's hi fi sounds, you can get any type of compression from subtle to a full squash, Pedal has 2 channels, clean and compression, it is powered by 2 op amps ,one is a Harris ca3080E, I can't read what the other op amp is, it powers the clean side. The box also has a neat effect, a treble switch on the top that really gives you a nice treble boost when switched on, great for hot leads.
I was having trouble with it, because I had not gotten the instructions. Wampler e-mailed the instructions to me. You have to have the Blend knob turned all of the way clockwise to get the comp to act like a traditional comp and make the attack knob work, when you follow the instructions, this compressor is as good as they get, very hi fi, plenty of squash, but no noise, super quiet when not being used. It's a keeper for me.
Not anything like a Barber Tone Press, like I had thought. It compresses a lot more and has the more traditional sound, I was waiting a couple of times to get the membership discount, but it looks like they are being built for the web first, so if you want one for 189, Bananas has it, plus The Mad Ape and a few more places

I bought one a couple of months ago, but ended up returning it (with no hassle from Wampler, by the way.)  Mine came without instructions, too.  While I liked the compression / tone for single note lead lines, the pedal produced very obvious clipping and distortion when playing chords.  Also, there was no change in tone when I flipped the bright switch on and off.

Yeh, after a couple of months I decide to sell it, the attack knob doesn't do much, you have to roll back the blend like a Barber to get any attack, but to get Keeley, Dynacomp sounds, you can't get them from this pedal, too transparent. I kept asking for better instructions ,so I finally gave up. I would have liked to have tried his original ones, The winning video of the Ego Squasher really sounds good.. So this one is for sale. I like compressors that really squeeze, this doesn't. Plenty of sustain, which I do not care for, I might mess around with it some more while it is for sale.
So contact me if interested 150, like brand new, I almost sent it back to Bananas, but missed by a couple of days
